This game is the extension of Pillars of Eternity game which was issued in 2015. In the events of the previous game, player control role of Watcher who has the ability to read the minds of people. The story initiates with the Eothas, the god of light and rebirth awake under player stronghold Caed Nua. Watcher agrees with Berath, the god of death, to pursue Eothas. In his journey, he finds out the true intentions of Berath and he decides to break the Wheel. Eothas return the piece of Watcher’s soul before smashing the Wheel. In the last scenes, Watcher returns to the Dyrwood.
The game centered on seafaring and island exploration with the help of a ship. The decisions made by the player affect the storyline of the game.
